TechUp Protect – Extended Warranty
With TechUp Protect, you get an extra 12 months of warranty, extending your original 12 months coverage to a total of 24 months. This plan protects your device against repairs, accidental damage*, and malfunctions throughout the extended period.
Coverage Details:

12 additional months of warranty, including protection for accidental damage (both physical and liquid), on top of your initial 12-month warranty.

If the device experiences accidental damage (such as water/liquid or physical damage), a $189 charge has to be borne by Customer. This fee is due immediately after the claim has been accepted. However, if the devices malfunctions with no signs of Physical and/ or liquid damage, there will be no extra charge for repairs or replacement.

Protection for all physical or water damage affecting the device’s screen, body, or functionality.

TechUp Protect covers the cost of parts and labour to repair or replace your device with a similar model.
Exclusions:

General wear and tear or cosmetic damage that does not affect the device's functionality, including battery degradation. However, if the battery no longer holds a charge and the device won't stay powered on without being plugged in, this will be covered.

Damage caused by misuse, abuse, or neglect.

Devices that have been repaired, opened, or altered by the customer or third-party repair services are not eligible for claims.

Claims cannot be processed without an IMEI/serial number and proof of purchase.

TechUp Protect and accidental damage coverage are non-transferable and only apply to the device they were purchased with.

TechUp Protect does not cover data recovery or data loss under any circumstances.

TechUp Limited is not responsible for any data loss, regardless of the cause.
How TechUp Protect Works:
If you experience issues with your device, we recommend filing a service request as soon as you notice the problem. Simply fill out the 'Claim Form' on this page, and a team member will respond within one business day. Alternatively, you can contact us by email at support@techup.nz or call us at 09 218 7841.
To process your claim, please provide:

Clear photos of your device, including one showing the IMEI (for smartphones) or serial number (for other devices).

A valid proof of purchase.
After submitting your claim, our team will assess the issue and provide the best solution, which may include:

Repair: We will attempt to repair your device. You can either visit our Auckland store or mail the device to us. TechUp will cover the cost for sending the device to us and returning it to you.

Replacement: If the damage is irreparable, we will offer a replacement device with the same specifications and condition as the original. We will also take ownership of the damaged device before issuing the replacement.

Any replacement device will be covered under the remaining warranty period, continuing to protect against defects, malfunctions, and electrical or mechanical failures.

Refund: If a replacement is unavailable, you will receive a full refund via bank transfer, store credit, or a voucher. We will take ownership of the damaged device before processing the refund.
Plan Expiration:
Your TechUp Protect plan will expire after 24 months from the original device purchase date, or if the total repair costs reach the original purchase price of the device, or if a refund is issued—whichever occurs first.
