TechUp Protect – Extended Warranty & Accidental Damage Cover

With TechUp Protect, enjoy an extra 12 months of warranty, extending your original 12-month coverage to a full 24 months.

Service Fee for Accidental Damage

If your device experiences accidental damage (e.g., water, liquid, or physical damage), a service fee of 15% of the total value paid at the time of purchase will apply. 💳 This fee is payable immediately upon claim approval.

⚠️ Please note: This service fee applies only to accidental damage claims. If there is no accidental damage, the service fee will not be applicable.


TechUp Protect – Terms & Exclusions

What’s Not Covered?

🚫 General Wear & Tear – Cosmetic damage (e.g., scratches, dents) or battery degradation that does not affect functionality. However, if the battery no longer holds a charge and the device won’t stay powered on without being plugged in, it will be covered.

🚫 Misuse, Abuse & Neglect – Damage caused by improper use or handling.

🚫 Unauthorized Repairs – Devices that have been repaired, opened, or altered by the customer or a third-party repair service are not eligible for claims.

🚫 Missing IMEI/Serial Number or Proof of Purchase – Claims cannot be processed without this information.

🚫 Non-Transferable CoverageTechUp Protect and accidental damage coverage apply only to the original device and cannot be transferred to another device or owner.

🚫 Data Loss & Recovery – TechUp Protect does not cover data recovery or data loss under any circumstances. TechUp Limited is not responsible for lost data, regardless of the cause.


How TechUp Protect Works

Filing a Claim

If you experience an issue, we recommend submitting a service request as soon as possible.

📝 Step 1: Fill out the Claim Form on this page.
📧 Step 2: Alternatively, email us at support@techup.nz or call 09 218 7841.
📸 Step 3: Provide the following:

  • Clear photos of your device, including one displaying the IMEI (for smartphones) or serial number (for other devices).
  • A valid proof of purchase.

Claim Process & Resolution

🔹 Repair: If possible, we will repair your device. You can visit our Facility or mail it to us—TechUp will cover shipping costs both ways.

🔹 Replacement: If the damage is beyond repair, we will offer a replacement device with the same specifications and condition as your original. The damaged device will be collected before issuing the replacement.

🔹 Refund: If a replacement is unavailable, you will receive a full refund via bank transfer, store credit, or a voucher. The damaged device will be collected before processing the refund.

Plan Expiration

Your TechUp Protect plan expires when:
✔️ 24 months have passed from the original device purchase date.
✔️ The total repair costs reach the original purchase price of the device.
✔️ A refund is issued.
