One Monthly Winner. Two Ways to Enter.
At TechUp, we believe our customers and subscribers deserve to be rewarded.
Every month, one eligible New Zealand entrant will win a technology prize from TechUp.
You can enter by:
- Placing an eligible order directly through TechUp.nz
- Being an active TechUp email subscriber when the monthly entry period closes
Our monthly giveaway is one of the ways we thank the people who support TechUp, sustainable technology and our New Zealand-based business.
How to Enter
Enter by Shopping at TechUp.nz
Place an eligible order directly through TechUp.nz during the monthly entry period.
Each completed eligible order receives one entry into that month’s draw.
For example:
- One eligible order provides one entry
- Two separate eligible orders provide two entries
- Three separate eligible orders provide three entries
Orders placed through Trade Me, eBay, Reebelo, Kogan or another third-party marketplace are not eligible unless TechUp expressly states otherwise for a particular promotion.
Cancelled, fully refunded, chargeback, fraudulent or unpaid orders will not qualify.
Enter by Subscribing
Each unique active TechUp email subscriber receives one free entry into each monthly draw.
To qualify, the subscriber must:
- Have provided a valid email address
- Be actively subscribed when the monthly entry period closes
- Meet the other eligibility requirements in the Giveaway Terms and Conditions
Existing active subscribers do not need to subscribe again each month.
Multiple subscriptions using the same email address will count as one subscriber entry.
A person who is both an active subscriber and an eligible customer may receive:
- One subscriber entry
- One additional entry for each eligible website order placed during the entry period
How the Winner Is Selected
After the monthly entry period closes, TechUp will:
- Export the eligible TechUp.nz order list.
- Export the active subscriber list.
- Remove cancelled, refunded, unpaid, fraudulent and otherwise ineligible orders.
- Remove duplicate subscriber email addresses.
- Combine the eligible order and subscriber entries into one master draw sheet.
- Assign each entry a unique sequential number.
- Use a spreadsheet random-number formula to select one number between 1 and the total number of eligible entries.
- Match the selected number to the corresponding entry on the master draw sheet.
The selected eligible entrant will be the provisional winner, subject to verification and winner accepting the terms and conditions of monthly draw.
Winner Verification and Notification
The provisional winner will be contacted using the email address or contact information connected with their eligible entry.
The winner may be asked to confirm:
- Their full name
- That they are a New Zealand resident
- That they meet the age requirement
- Their delivery address
- Their order or subscriber information
- Any other information reasonably required to verify eligibility
The winner must respond within seven calendar days of the first notification.
If the winner:
- Cannot be contacted
- Does not respond within seven calendar days
- Does not meet the eligibility requirements and/or doesn't agree with T&C's
- Provides incorrect or misleading information
TechUp may withdraw the provisional award and conduct another random draw using the remaining eligible entries.
Winner Announcements
Monthly winners may be announced through the TechUp website, email newsletter or social media channels.
TechUp will obtain the winner’s permission before publishing identifiable photographs, testimonials or more detailed personal information.
A winner may be displayed using limited information such as their first name and city, subject to the Giveaway Terms and Conditions and applicable privacy requirements.
Prize Delivery
Auckland-based winners may arrange collection by appointment from TechUp’s Auckland facility.
Winners outside Auckland will receive their prize by tracked courier to an eligible New Zealand address at no charge.
The winner will not be required to pay a delivery charge to receive the prize.

- Other technology products
The actual monthly prize, condition, specifications and retail value will be advertised before the relevant entry period begins.
Prizes may be Brand New, Open Box, Pre-Owned or Refurbished. The condition will be clearly stated in the monthly prize announcement.

Important Information
- Entry is open to eligible New Zealand residents aged 18 years or older.
- Each eligible website order receives one entry.
- Each unique active subscriber receives one free entry per monthly draw.
- No purchase is required for the subscriber entry method.
- Marketplace orders are excluded unless expressly stated otherwise.
- Cancelled, fully refunded, unpaid, chargeback or fraudulent orders are excluded.
- Employees of TechUp and their immediate family or household members are not eligible.
- Subscribers must remain actively subscribed when the entry period closes.
- Unsubscribing does not affect entries in a draw that has already closed.
- The prize cannot normally be exchanged for cash or transferred unless TechUp agrees otherwise.
- TechUp’s decision regarding eligibility and the draw result is final, subject to applicable New Zealand law.
