“There is no such thing as ‘away’. When we throw anything away it must go somewhere.”
– Annie Leonard, Proponent of Sustainability
We truly believe that our environment is our responsibility and therefore packaging our pre-loved devices in sustainable packaging is not only our social obligation but fundamentally necessary for the holistic approach to recycling. The following blog will read you through the definition of sustainable packaging and what packaging practices do we follow at TechUp.
What is Sustainable Packaging?
In essence, this refers to packaging that gradually diminishes its environmental impact.
How closely do we follow this eco norm?
As quoted beautifully by the author that there is no such thing as ‘away’.
We receive the fragile devices from our vendors wrapped up in different styles and colours of bubble wraps. We often re-pack the devices in the same wraps thus establishing a circular economy for packaging and extending its lifecycle and utility.
The devices that we sell are fragile and expensive and therefore safety of devices during transit is our priority. We were apprehensive about using the honeycomb wrap with the fragile LCD screen devices but keeping in mind the environmental concerns we have recently introduced it along with the compostable flyers.
With our growth and expansion, we are transcending from the antiquated methods of packaging towards the contemporary ones and have induced likewise sustainable packaging materials in our dispatch process.
Embracing the eco-age we aim to be 100% users of the renewable packaging.
Our Packaging Progression
The journey so far has been evolutionary and we are keen to keep moving ahead with the aim of delivering the best products along with safeguarding Nature’s interest.
